Overview

Vantage is an eyewear brand developed around clarity, proportion, and controlled expression. The work focuses on building a precise visual identity that connects product, editorial imagery, packaging, and campaign communication through a minimal black-and-white system.

02

Initial condition

The brand needed a visual system that could feel refined without relying on excess. The direction had to communicate confidence, precision, and everyday wearability while keeping the product as the central focus.

03

Design intent

  • Clarify the brand’s visual position
  • Create a strong editorial identity
  • Use typography as a main brand asset
  • Balance fashion presence with product precision
  • Build a system that works across packaging, campaign, and digital use
04

Approach

  1. 01

    Research

Understanding eyewear brands, fashion editorial systems, product-focused campaigns, and premium visual codes.

  2. 02

    Direction

Defining a black-and-white identity built around restraint, contrast, proportion, and strong typographic control.

  3. 03

    System

Developing logo placement, oversized typography, image framing, spacing rules, and campaign text hierarchy.

  4. 04

    Application

Extending the visual identity across brand statements, product visuals, packaging, editorial layouts, and campaign posts.

  5. 05

    Refinement

Adjusting scale, alignment, negative space, and image balance to make every layout feel intentional and clear.

05

Visual language

The visual language is built on high contrast, large serif typography, black-and-white photography, and controlled spacing. Each layout uses scale and restraint to create presence while allowing the eyewear, face, and form to remain the main focus.

Key design moves

Oversized Wordmark

The Vantage wordmark is used as a strong visual anchor, giving the brand immediate recognition and editorial weight.

Controlled Contrast

Black-and-white imagery creates focus, reduces distraction, and supports the brand’s refined visual position.

Editorial Scale

Large headlines and wide spacing make the identity feel confident without relying on heavy decoration.

Product-Centered Framing

Frames, faces, and close-up details are placed with precision to keep attention on fit, shape, and proportion.

Minimal Brand Language

Short statements such as “Form / Focus / Vision” and “Explore Built To See” keep the communication direct and memorable.

08

Outcome

The final system gives Vantage a clear and composed identity across product, packaging, and campaign visuals. The work creates a brand world that feels precise, confident, and visually controlled, with every element supporting clarity, proportion, and everyday presence.

A clear eyewear identity makes the product feel considered before it is even worn.
