Overview

Fabliss is an e-commerce website for a furniture and homeware brand. It combines product discovery, editorial inspiration, and a design consultation offer in one refined shopping experience.

The project focused on presenting furniture the way people imagine it at home — in calm, styled interiors — while keeping browsing and buying straightforward.

02

Initial condition

Furniture is a considered purchase. Shoppers want inspiration and reassurance before they commit, but many stores present products as a flat catalogue with little sense of how pieces live together.

Fabliss needed a site that feels like an interiors magazine and works like a store.

03

Design intent

  • Present products in styled, aspirational interiors
  • Balance editorial content with clear shopping paths
  • Promote sales, gift cards, and design consultation
  • Keep navigation simple across a large product range
  • Create an elegant, timeless visual identity
04

Approach

  1. 01

    Brand Positioning

Defining Fabliss as a calm, design-led destination rather than a discount catalogue.

  2. 02

    Information Architecture

Organising products, sales, gift cards, blog, and consultation into a clear menu.

  3. 03

    Editorial Layouts

Designing a blog and inspiration pages that link stories back to products.

  4. 04

    Product Presentation

Creating product grids and detail layouts that let photography lead.

  5. 05

    Conversion Paths

Placing consultation and registration prompts where inspiration turns into intent.

05

Visual language

The visual language is elegant, warm, and editorial.

Serif typography, generous white space, and a dark espresso accent give the site a premium interiors feel, while natural marble textures frame the presentation.

Photography of styled rooms carries the mood from page to page.

06

User experience

The experience moves between inspiration and shopping without friction.

The homepage introduces collections in styled scenes, then guides visitors to products, sales, and stories.

The blog turns interior ideas into shoppable moments, with articles linking directly to the pieces they feature.

A registration prompt offers a free design consultation, turning browsing into a conversation with the brand.
